Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its relatively modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only problem is that it tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will show you exactly what the robot has done, where it is going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks are required including emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood however we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. robot vacuums cheap is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model this one has two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners may be unable to pick up.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only negative I found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount to wash manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while also saving time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 has an additional side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to avoid damaging floors by excessive back-and forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and understand The X40 has many smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to clean and has many convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market, but it packs in many additional features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. They can be set through the app or there are buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on the market, sporting a white and metallic design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
